If you're looking for a fun day out over the next few weeks, check out Battersea Park Children's Zoo , who are holding an easter Eggstravaganza from 3rd-16th April. You and your little one can solve clues to claim a prize along the Golden Easter Bunny Trail, make some Easter-themed crafts, look at real animal eggs throughout the zoo, and get face painted as your favourite animals.

Of course, that's in addition to everything that the zoo usually offers. It's home to a wonderful range of ambibians, reptiles, mammals, and birds. The zoo and exhibits are smaller than some other offerings, meaning that you can cover the whole zoo in your visit and your little one is less likely to be overwhelmed or over-tired during the experience.

Try to schedule your trip around some feeding times for an extra animal adventure - the morning feedings at 11am and 12pm are for the Asian short-clawed otters and rail-tailed lemurs. In the afternoon, you can see the otters again or the capuchin monkeys at 2:30pm and 3pm.

Don't forget to top your day off with a visit to the adventure playground, which includes a mechanical ride as well as hop on/off tractors and fire engines.
